A blank mind

Is it even possible to witness or see something and the mind not automatically form an opinion of some sort, based on your beliefs? For the mind to be “blank” as information comes through the eyes then into the mind, is unbelievable isn’t it?  I have an overactive mind so for nothing to form automatically would be spectacular.  It would be nice if I had this ability.
